Kondayagenbei double-woven obi (fukuro obi)

This cherry blossoms obi is created by Kondayagenbei. It is inspired by Shiko Mikuma’s cherry blossoms works. Shiko Mikuma was an artist who used only cherry blossoms for his work concept. He concentrated to distinguish about different types of cherry blossoms and created cherry blossoms world that there were no other things on the same painting. This obi has depth and expresses Shiko Mikuma’s thinness of translucent-look cherry blossoms petals and softness by a weave.
