Introducing iromuji kimono with silkworm gut. (Iromuji is a colored kimono.)
Silkworm gut is yarn from silkworm’s cocoon. This yarn is much smoother than other yarn. Hana-karakusa pattern (arabesque with flowers) and flowery rabbit pattern which are woven as a background pattern looks three-diminutional since the yarn contains too much oil and dyeing condition turns out differently from other yarns. This kimono is very soft and good in touch. There are seven colors of iromuji kimono.
If you take a close look, you can see how much the pattern comes to the surface. By wearing it, the background pattern looks shine and three-diminutional even more.
