Embroidered Nagoya obi of Takarazukushi* pattern
*Takarazukushi is one of kissho patterns which is designed many different types of treasures.
This Nagoya obi is Kimono Haku’s original masterpiece that we committed a ground color and Kyoto embroidery.
When we suggest a white color obi to our customers, especially Shioze's obi, they often have interested and we have received many requests that they would like to wear one. We decided to create Kimono Haku’s original white obi and completed it by the grace of an artisan.
We selected this Shioze textile which has a comfortable weight and thickness after examining various textiles carefully. In general, Takarazukushi pattern is widespread many treasures' embroideries all over the textile. We thought that design would lack our originality, so we changed the design to look like fashionable crest in the motif of Takarazukushi.
We were particular about Kyoto embroidery which made the obi soft and full, and also combined kin-koma* embroidery with dyeing technique called suribitta*.
*Kin-koma embroidery is one of embroidered methods that embroider thick gold thread.
*Suribitta is one of dyeing methods that use a dyeing stencil of hitta pattern.
